I loved the video on the zettlekasten compass 🧡 thank you for sharing it.
I'm a really big fan of compasses and use my own virtue compass to guide my behavior so this layers on really well. Compasses are underrated and help us orient in the fog of everyday life.
Vicki, thanks so much for this. I was needing others who think like me and here you are.
I was getting frustrated with information management and was on the verge of reinventing the wheel. The Intersectional Thinking comes along and give me what I asked for and then some.
Quick Atomic Thoughts:
I was thinking about why put down notes whether you think them relevant and thought of Huberman. Listened to s show he had with a Neuroscientist talking about summaries we build in our brain. Then I thought you cannot know what you don't know. The way we get to know is from these summaries (i call them post-it-notes) some of which are not developed yet. These fleeting notes are the beginning of a summary which will be saved to help a decision somewhere down the line.
So, you see I have Neuroscience, philosophy, common household items, and more all co-mingling to construct a proposition of sorts. (I usually get the gas face when trying to explain what's going on in my brain) Problem is, I wrote nothing down. It happens so naturally I think I can recall it again then when I do, I don't.
This intro to Obsidian and Zettlekasten (I started with Scott Scheper) Is just what the doctor was trying to get me to take.
And yes, if there is more about 4 and 5 please point me. I'll try a keyword search but I dunno.

Oh! Curious how you use the compass to guide your behavior! I want to explore more ways to use this concept too!!
YT Tokyo sounds exciting! Congrats Vicky 🍾
